How RESPECT is Changing Care in Thunder Bay: A People-Centred Journey
Organizations across Canada are actively partnering with patients and families to enable cultures of people-centred care, respect and collaboration. In this session, Thunder Bay Regional Health Centre will share its journey of establishing a culture of People- Centred Care through a multi-modal approach to shifting mindsets and actions to achieve results. TBRHSC will share experiences and practices from the development and roll-out of ”The Respect Project” training program, including key learnings about engagement, critical dialogue and adaptability. Participants will hear about the results to date and experience aspects of the program that is moving forward TBRHSC’s goal of creating a learning culture and an environment where patients, families and staff feel they are being treated with kindness and consideration. Health leaders will be inspired to reflect on opportunities to foster critical dialogue in their organizations. Session participants will also hear about HealthCareCAN’s new online learning program aimed at teaching individuals and organizations how to actively move People-Centred Care forward
